D-League – Beginner level. New to hockey or you just don’t have anything to prove anymore.
The point is to play in the league that matches your skill level so it is enjoyable for all. If you’re a much more skilled player than everyone else then your emphasis should be on teaching those around you to be better and focusing more on passing than scoring. The league reserves the right to move players between teams and leagues to create greater balance. If you are near the top of the goal scoring list then you should self-select into a higher league or seek counseling for your confidence issues. The same holds true for teams which should seek to be a mix of skills appropriate for their league.
